So ages ago I wrote this post about a conceptual sci-fi series I had been cast in called Chronicles Of Syntax, and its potential prequel, Primary Faction. I explained the past few years of developments and setbacks and progress and speedbumps, and then left it at where we were, which was filming a trailer to pitch the series. Since then, iDare Productions has been laying low, as series creator Susan E Clarke has been feverishly working in preparation for the next step. That step is now. And we need you.
The current state of the series is this:
It’s now being released as a web-series
So there’s no stress of whether or not it will be picked up by a TV network
Or anticipation from you as to whether or not it will be available worldwide
We’re in control, and everyone will get to see it!
Chronicles is ready to be made. It has the cast. It has the script. It has a dedicated behind the scenes team ready to go.
All it needs is the funding.

We plan to start filming Season One in September. This 12-episode season will follow an adapted story arc that was originally Primary Faction, where all the main characters assemble in the present day for the war of the future. In order to create the best series we can, we need a budget that goes beyond paying out of our own pockets, like we have been for the past few years.
So we’ve set up this IndieGoGo page. The target of $20,000 dollars has been set for the Chronicles budget, and about a month and a half to achieve it. A bit ambitious, I know, but I have a lot of faith in this series and I know that if we reach our goal, it will be completely worth it.
This is where you come in. A few of you have been following me across other sites for a long time, so you’ll know how long I’ve been waiting for this thing to happen. On top of that, you even got excited for it - I remember that, and I’m really grateful that you got some buzz going when this was first kicking off. So if you’re still as enthusiastic about Chronicles Of Syntax’s existence as you were then, or you’re just finding out about it now and are interested, or whatever, then please consider donating to the IndieGoGo page. It’s a lot like Kickstarter, so there are incentives available for you if if you contribute enough (and in my personal opinion they’re fucking awesome rewards).
If you can’t contribute, that’s totally fine, but if you’re still interested in seeing this thing happen then please share the crap out of this if you can and get it out there! While I’m just a cast member, I’ve been a part of this project for so long that it feels like my baby too, and I can’t wait for it to start walking.
The fundraiser page will be updated sporadically with promo pics, videos and plenty of other fun stuff, so keep an eye out. You can also keep track on the series’ Twitter and Facebook, and of course the Chronicles site.
Oh, and I might be bugging you about this every few days or so, so I apologise in advance <3
